The application period for the 2020 Monterey Jazz Festival is now closed.
Please note that you will need to re-submit materials for each year you wish to be considered.
Artist Submissions for the 64th Monterey Jazz Festival will be accepted November 1, 2020 – January 15, 2021.
Both emerging and established artists will be considered for the Monterey Jazz Festival, with a focus on established and regional artists. Please refer to the previous year's lineup for more specific information as to the type of artists selected in the past.
All submissions should be by email only, and should include the following:
- Links to a CD recording
- Biography (brief)
- Contact Information: Name of contact person, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail, and website
All correspondence, including EPKs (Electronic Press Kits) may be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
Note: Audiocassette, VHS & DVD recordings will not be accepted. Electronic submission is the only way to apply to the Monterey Jazz Festival. We also do not accept artist applications through social media.
Artist Submission Status
We will contact you via mail or e-mail to confirm receipt of your submission. If you do not receive an acknowledgement within three weeks of sending your submission, you may contact us at email@example.com
Although we sincerely appreciate your interest in the Monterey Jazz Festival, please be aware that the large volume of submissions received prohibits us from listening to or offering assessment and feedback on all submissions. Therefore, only those who are being considered for inclusion in the Monterey Jazz Festival will be contacted—typically by mid-March. Please do not contact our office unless asked to do so, as the overwhelming demand for performance opportunities often precludes us from accepting or returning solicitation calls.
